In Griffith for the Grainstock conference and festival and asked around which restaurant was best to come to for a large group of 20 plus people. La Scala had the nod. From the moment we booked I knew it was the right place- booking was easy and no problems for the large group. On our drive over we were running late and advised by phone and everyone reassured us it was no problems. Despite four of the group arriving very close to close, everyone at La Scala was able to accommodate us, serve some amazing pasta and pizza dishes at great quality and massive serves. Food was top notch, and service was great. They were unable to split the bill, but were able to allow our diners to buy additional drinks at the bar which provided great flexibility for the big group. It was the start of our visit to Griffith and a great welcoming atmosphere. Many thanks to all the staff that made our large group feel so welcome and at home. I will pop back everytime I’m in Griffith. You’ve got a fan! Thanks guys! 🍻

Dropped in without booking while staying in Griffith overnight and despite being nearly full, found us a spot. Service was excellent, young waiter happy to offer suggestions on drinks and dishes. Food was brought to the table quickly, well presented and tasty. Tiramisu was a standout. Good atmosphere, decent selection in the bar and good food. Would definitely return.
Great pizzas. I shared a couple of pizzas with a group and we all thought they were delicious. The crust was quite crispy and is not heavy on the carbohydrate. Most of the pizzas had quite a generous amount of toppings on them. The marinara pizza was quite sparce with the toppings and didn't deserve to get a feature photo on my review. I would recommend the tiramisu for dessert. It is quite a generous size but not too heavy.
Went for a dinner while stayed in Griffith for Citrus festival. Food was delicious and great service. The link direction on Trip advisor still takes you to the old location in city. So we booked a table by phone as it was just five minutes walk from our hotel. When we were at location we found out that the restaurant is out of town, and half an hour walk. I rang and asked to postpone booking time and we were still lucky to get the table.

We have not long moved to Griffith and finally had the chance to try La Scala’s pizza for take away. The pizza was delicious! It has to be the best pizza I’ve had in years. It took me back to my travels to Italy many years ago. The ingredients were exceptional and fresh. The staff are incredibly friendly and my pizza was given to me by one of the owners who was so humble and kind. The restaurant itself was like walking into another world. Before I left with my pizza I had to make a booking for next weekend to celebrate Mother’s Day. I can’t wait! I highly recommend going to this place :)
Griffith's best kept Italian secret absolutely magnificent! I've been to La Scala both for dine-in and takeaway and it never lets me down. The food is genuinely authentic Italian the kind of cooking that transports you straight to Italy with every single bite. You can taste the tradition and passion in every dish and it's clear this is not just food, it's a real labour of love. Dining in is a wonderful experience the atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for a family meal or a special night out. But even the takeaway is outstanding, which says a lot about the consistency and quality of the kitchen. Growing up in the Riverina you'd think finding truly authentic Italian food would be easy given our Italian heritage in the region but La Scala genuinely stands above the rest. From the pasta to the sauces everything is made the proper way with real ingredients and real flavour. If you haven't been to La Scala yet you are seriously doing yourself a disservice. One of Griffith's absolute finest and a restaurant this town should be very proud of. Highly recommend to everyone! 🍝🇮🇹❤️
Beautiful restaurant. We had so many people recommend this restaurant during our recent visit to Griffith and it did not disappoint. The food was beautiful and the service was friendly and polite, and the cost was very reasonable for the quality and quantity. Definitely recommend.
